A century ago (well, ok, 1999) an article on Larry Page and Sergey Brin's new company described the nascent Google as a search engine that (gasp) just searches.

One of the great promises that actually came true when our Internet-enabled world reached the twenty-first century is efficient customer-to-business interaction.

Question: Do search engines read information contained in JavaScript variables, the page head, and in the page body? Do search engines follow JavaScript links?

Some sales people think that because they're great at selling face-to-face, they don't need to put a lot of time or effort into writing a winning proposal. They feel that their verbal skills did all the selling for them.
