Demand for Internet-connected television is growing rapidly, according to a new study by the Consumer Electronics Association. The study, "Net-Enabled Video: Early Adopters Only?" found that about half of potential TV buyers say they are likely to purchase an Internet-connected TV. There are numerous ways people would use an Internet-enabled TV. Almost half (48%) of U.S. online adults would use their Internet connected TV to find out more information on upcoming shows and identify a song that played during the show.

Buying ads on ad networks is standard practice these days. In fact, according to an article from AdAge, 65% of ad buys will pass through ad networks in 2009. Even in tough times like these that’s a lot of money.

Many Facebook users have complained about recent changes to the social networks design. Anyone who uses Facebook or follows Facebook news is probably well aware of that.

Digital coupons have experienced tremendous growth in popularity over the last year or so. According to research from Nielsen, not only are more people going to the sites, but the average amount of time spent there has increased as well.

MySpace is on top in the U.S., Facebook follows, and so on; we're all familiar with the usual social network rankings.  But here's some interesting news: Orkut seems better suited to Iran than America.  And Facebook, while successful here, should consider relocating its headquarters to Turkey.  Or so imply some new stats, anyway.

Maybe the question is better phrased as: has the desire to learn how to produce podcasts for business died? I’m wondering this because two public events about podcasting I’d been due to speak at during the next month have been cancelled because of lack of interest.

While writing this article, I searched for “Facebook” on the American Google News site.  That’s all - just “Facebook.”  Yet four of the first six results came from Canada, and this illustrates a new trend: our neighbors to the north are becoming big fans of the social networking site.
