Work overload, and the accompanying stress of not having enough hours in the day, is a major problem for many business owners and managers. Not only is the issue of feeling snowed under by too much work an issue for entrepreneurs and exectives, it's getting worse. Some business people are left to dream of adding magical hours to their clocks as a last resort.

It's a good rule of thumb to overload the equality operators on classes.

Some of us are slow readers. Others of us feel crushed under the reams of text we have to sift through on a daily basis, stealing us away from other, very pressing priorities. Information overload was why Web 1.0 was the Age of the Blurb.

As I sat at my PC at gone midnight last night, doing email catchup, reviewing comments to various blog posts and RSS feed scanning, I thought - this is ridiculous.

So you want to get a Google top page rank and get your site listed on the first page when an internet surfer types in your keywords, right?!? Of course you do. At one time it was extremely important to get as many sites linking to you as possible, so the Google bots would spider your site, see all of these sites linking to you, and determine that your site must be of some importance because so many others are linking to it.

Henry David Thoreau once said, "Things are in the saddle and ride mankind." Today, INFORMATION is in the saddle and it's riding us into the ground! We are just overwhelmed with information. We fear that if we don't read it all, we'll miss something really important. So we pile it, unread, and the piles keep growing.

For people who work with information, the problem used to be finding enough of it. If you were analyzing a subject, or writing a report, most of your time was spent finding the information you needed.

I have had several emails lately with people asking what to do about Information Overload. They spend all their time downloading fr^ee ebooks, subscribing and then deleting ezines, visiting websites and so on.
