Journalism Online Signs Up 1000 Affiliates
Journalism Online, a venture aimed at generating revenue for news publishers by charging readers for online content, has announced it now has more than 1,000 affiliates who have signed on to its platform.
Journalism Online co-founder Steven Brill said that the results of a recent study released by the American Press Institute, found that nearly 60 percent of American newspapers are "actively considering" initiating some form of paid access for their online content.

UPS Launches Online Printing Service
UPS announced today it is launching an online printing service aimed at small businesses.
"After reviewing the research and listening to our small-business customers, we realized there is a real need in the marketplace for an online printing platform that is easy to use, provides functionality geared to small businesses, and is supported by a convenient network of physical locations," said Stuart Mathis, president of Mail Boxes Etc., Inc. (MBE), franchisor of The UPS Store brand.

Online Tool Rates Cell Phone Radiation
The Environmental Working Group (EWG) has put together an online consumer guide that rates more than 1,000 cell phones based on the levels of radiation they emit.
The EWG says the list is aimed at helping consumers make better decisions about which cell phones to buy. The free online tool offers information on each phone's radiofrequency emissions, allowing users to compare different models.

Fox Sports Launching Five Online Only Shows
Fox Sports has announced it will launch original programming online starting Monday, September 14.
The webcasts will be streamed weekdays at 1p.m. ET on foxsports.com.
The first online only show will debut Monday and is called "The Afterparty with Jay Glazer." Each week during the NFL season Glazer will interview the five best players from Sunday's game.

Safety Top Concern For Users Of Online Classified Sites
With online classified sites becoming increasingly popular with Internet users, one of their top priorities is the safety of such sites.
A new survey commissioned by Kijiji, eBay's free local classified site, found 36 percent of visitors to online classified sites are concerned about ads that may be misleading or fraudulent.
More than a quarter (28%) of visitor's worry their email address will be spammed, while 26 percent are concerned about getting a computer virus and 24 percent are concerned about classified ads that may have adult content.
