TweetDeck, the popular Twitter and more application, has expanded upon its Facebook-related features, and added MySpace into the mix. Users now have more control over the sorting of Facebook friends, and can update their MySpace status/mood from TweetDeck, just as they have been able to do with Facebook and Twitter.

MySpace And Facebook Top Social Networking Sites For Display Ads
Social networking sites in the U.S. accounted for more than 20 percent of all display ads viewed online in July, with MySpace and Facebook combining to serve more than 80 percent of ads, according to a new report from comScore.
"Over the past few years, social networking has become one of the most popular online activities, accounting for a significant portion of the time Internet users spend online and the pages they consume," said Jeff Hackett, comScore senior vice president.

MySpace Way More Popular Than Twitter.com
You wouldn't know it from the amount of media attention that Twitter receives these days, but MySpace.com is still way more popular than Twitter.com in the US. It's not getting the visitors of Facebook.com, but in July MySpace.com had 59,613,985 unique visitors, while Twitter.com had 23,284,395, according to Compete.

Massive Layoffs Await MySpace Employees
Layoff described by one source as ":massive" are coming to MySpace although there is no official word yet from the company. MySpace shed 5% of its staff a year ago and laid of as many as 45 more last month. But these cuts will go far deeper, according to TechCrunch and could hit several hundred. Management will inevitably blame a tough economy and plummeting ad revenue, but declining traffic is the real culprit.
