I am not going to describe what a product feed (or a datafeed) is. There is a lot of information out there about how to use one to build sites. Instead, I want to talk about how you can actually make more sales with datafeed sites.

As an affiliate program owner running a program internally, you'll want to have software which is user-friendly and provides the tools and reporting for affiliates to become successful (which means that you make more $$$). You'll want to be able to concentrate on marketing and/or improving your products, perfecting your websites to increase conversions, recruiting new affiliates and supporting the ones that you have.

Chances are you've heard at least a little - maybe a lot - about "viral marketing"... Whereby one process you set up is taken up by other people without your having to work much at it. Less work and exponential growth... cool! But let's talk about how it applies to affiliate marketing...

"Sign up today, here's your banners - now paste the code into your web pages and start making money!" How many times have you seen that blurb on a company affiliate program sign up page?
