Yahoo India will soon be deprived of its managing director - reports indicate that George Zacharias has put in his “four-to-six week notice.”  After concluding his career with Yahoo, Zacharias intends “to pursue his own entrepreneurial interests.”

The Email Sender and Provider Coalition have released the results of their survey that examines the email behaviors of consumers. The results revealed that the average American is an experienced email user and that they have specific ways of managing email and spam.  The survey found that over 80 percent of consumers use the "Report Spam" and "Unsubscribe" features to manage the email they receive. Fifty-three percent said they would open and read email if the sending company had a certified icon in the email program.

The most valuable thing that you have when you’re marketing online is your time. Every second that passes means money that you have either made, or let go by. When it comes to marketing on the internet, no matter how good your product is, and how spectacularly you present it, if it isn’t seen by anyone, it will all be for naught. It seems that 2007 brings us a “SEOs are teh devil” mantra from a multitude of newly crowned golden children of the web and to be perfectly honest it’s starting to annoy me. No doubt the likes of Slashdot have already dealt with and got over the impact the SEO industry may or may not have on the operation of their site - having implemented procedures to deal with comment spam, crap submissions and the like, Slashdot is still doing fine.  So why are newer community driven big brand sites so anti-SEO?

It talked about Michael Pilot joining NBC from GE to manage Ad sales without any prior media experience. Michael was hired in part it seems because he has been "focused on using statistical analysis of potential customers to figure out which are the best prospects". The article went on to say
