Hitwise is sharing some information about how well Bing Shopping is doing. They have compared its performance from the week ending June 6th, just after its launch to its performance for the week ending August 8.

Trends in the number of weekly searches on terms related to the Palm Pre indicate that the "Now Network" advertising campaign by Sprint during the second half of May helped create early interest in the device, according to comScore.

Update: Wolfram Alpha said Tuesday on a company Web site that it plans to begin broadcasting the run-up to its public unveiling Friday evening, including "behind-the-scenes views."

One thing’s for sure, Google doesn’t want to be associated with pirates; the company has enough copyright troubles as it is in its battles with Viacom and the AP. But defenders of The Pirate Bay argue there is precious little difference between two engines both capable of retrieving existing .torrent files on the Internet.

Update: ExecTweets is not the only thing Twitter is advertising. You can also see other ads for things like TwitterVision, Tweetie, etc. in the little box that previously only advertised Twitter services. Everything still looks to be at least Twitter-related at this point. And from the sound of it, they're not making a money off of it.

For once, Google looked to be a half-step (or more) behind.  Yahoo’s testing a “social” new homepage, Microsoft’s rolling out a “social” Windows Live update, and from the search giant, nada on this front.  Except, it seems, for Friend Connect, which just might launch soon.

Tomorrow, MySpace will be launching the "MySpace Primetime Application", an app that allows users to embed, search, and watch content from Hulu and MySpaceTV on their pages. The application is a product of a partnership with Hulu, Warner Bros, and Sony.

You know the routine: small cars weighed down with large cameras are spotted in some city.  Then, without any warning, a Google Street View update occurs weeks or months later.  But it looks like photos of Spain should become public in the very near future, and a more comprehensive international release schedule may also have been made known.
