installing

One of the biggest problems that I had when I set up my first site was essentially that I had no idea what I was doing. This manifested itself most obviously when it came to installing scripts for my site. I'm not a programmer (far from it) and I thought there would be assumed knowledge when it came to getting things running - knowledge that I assumed I didn't have. Once I decided to give it a go (and stop paying people to do it for me) I realised that it's actually pretty easy.

For many of us in the SCO world, office networks are a fairly new phenomenon. Many SCO systems are still happily using serial connectivity exclusively, even when Windows machines are part of the enterprise, and even when those machines maybe be networked between each other. In fact, some people even refer to serially connected terminals as a "network" (I won't use that here: if I say network, I mean an Ethernet network).

Question: I am having trouble reinstalling the Flash player. I do not know how my Flash player got removed from my computer, but no matter what I do it will not install. There are some sites that I go that tell me I need to install a Flash player and it says to click here to install. Well, I click to install the player but nothing happens. I go back to the site that told me I needed to install a player and it tells me the same thing again. My computer is a year old and it has Windows XP on it. Any help you can give me will be appreciated. Thanks!!!!! - Lisa
