What looks like a "just because we could" type of hack, Google's Blogger.com was hijacked through the "Blogger Developer Network Blog" page. The hack allowed anyone administrator status and the priveledges that come with it.

The act of page hijacking with concerns to the search engine world can produce long ranging results, especially for the web site or page targeted by the attack.

Panix, an Internet service provider for the New York area, was the victim of a domain hijacking this past weekend. The attack has put the ISP in a recovery mode as they effort to restore the domain back to normal.
