Compared to a lot of businesses out there, Mozilla's got nothing to worry about; a search partnership with Google has guaranteed it revenue through 2011.  But with Chrome becoming more and more of a threat to Firefox, it's hard not to view the link between the parent companies as being a bit strained.

Central Europe loves Facebook.  Or parts of it do, anyway.  Although the social network didn't really start releasing versions in different languages until March of this year, new reports put Facebook's growth in two countries in the triple digits.

It seems that a global financial crisis isn't about to stop Facebook's spread.  Even as the European Central Bank delivers its biggest interest rate cut ever, a new report is documenting the social network's impressive levels of growth overseas.

Online advertising growth is set to slow into single digits for the first time in 2009 according to eMarketer's revised projections.eMarketer is basing its projections on the latest Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) data. It says online ad spending will reach 25.7 billion in 2009, which is 8.9 percent over the $23.6 billion that will be spent in 2008.Previously eMarketer predicted in August that online ad spending would grow 14.5 percent in 2009.

Layoffs at Internet companies continue to be announced, with the latest coming from Internet radio site Pandora. Pandora's fate itself was in question not too long ago, but has recently found new hope and expects to survive after all.

It's mildly amazing to see another report about 2007 trickle in.  The contents of the report are interesting, too, as Europe's online advertising market apparently expanded by about €4 billion since the year before.
