UPDATE 2: It looks as though Google waited until we actually landed on the Moon to update their logo. Well played Google, well played.

There has been talk about Yahoo 360 closing down as far back as 2007, but only now is it truly official. They've set a date - July 13 is the day that Yahoo 360 will be no more. Yahoo has been easing the transition for users to switch to their "new profiles," and is now requesting users move into their new profile by no later than July 12. Yahoo Community Manager Melissa Daniels at the 360 Blog writes:

A while back, Google launched a Tasks lab for Gmail. Now they have added a new tasks feature for Google Calendar after many requests for one. There is now a "tasks" link in the upper right-hand corner of the Google Calendar page. Once you click on it, a box will come up on the opposite side of the screen, where you can add tasks in list form. They come with checkboxes so you can check them off as you accomplish them, and a form to enter a due date. The task will then appear on your calendar on the day it is due.

YouTube has finally announced after months of talks about deals with major media companies that they are now offering new sections on the site dedicated specifically to movies and television shows. Partners include Crackle, CBS, MGM, Lionsgate, Starz and many others, which contribute thousands of television show episodes and hundreds of films. They also bring the social element of YouTube along with them because users can still comment, favorite, and share the videos.

After much anticipation and hype (a good deal coming from myself), MySpace Music has finally launched. They've got a few more friends on board as well. Besides the aforementioned Sony BMG, Universal, and Warner Bros, EMI and Sony ATV have joined the site now too.

The long awaited iPhone is finally coming to Canada as well as over 20 other countries on July 11th.

Google's top executives have been selling their holdings non-stop for almost three and a half years, a trend that ultimately gained some attention from the market.
