Aaron Wall put up a post about a new Google filter that causes people with high ranking terms to be bumped down to position #6. There is also a thread at Webmaster World about this phenomenon. This is still reasonably speculative in nature, but there are a lot of people who have seen this.

The Filter, a social music recommendation site has released a new version of its software that features an improved user interface that enables users to create playlists to fill their iPod, iPhone and Apple TV more quickly.

YouTube wants to implement a content-filtering system this fall.  It also (presumably) wants world peace and free energy, and it’s anybody’s guess which of these three outcomes is most likely to occur.

Google may have found a way to duck the umpteen lawsuits YouTube is facing - the company is developing its very own video identification technology to flag copyrighted content.  What’s more, the system will be tested in cooperation with Time Warner and Disney.

MSN Filter sure is getting some people upset (hi Ross Mayfield). Personally I wanted to give MSN Filter a few weeks before giving my opinion, but Ross goaded me into it.
