Google is now offering a portable version of Google Earth Enterprise. Users can now access Google Earth Enterprise, without having the means previously necessary to do so.

Employees can't work well when their computers are infected with various sorts of malware.  Employees won't work well when they're looking at naked people or other not-really-work-related content.  And so the new Google Web Security for Enterprise service aims to fix both issues.

The word "restructuring" is sometimes used as a euphemism when the corporate weed whacker comes out.  The term seems to be genuinely applicable to what's going on at Ziff Davis Enterprise, however, as the company lays off some people, hires others, and shuffles around a third group.

Google is the king of advertising, and it's made moves toward productivity software, with Gmail and Google Docs. But what about enterprise software, the stuff that powers businesses, even large ones? Does Google harbor ambitions to be an enterprise software player?
