I had a client recently ask me about a blog that was using TypePad’s domain mapping feature and it was causing duplicate homepage URLs for the blog.

First, what is duplicate content? Duplicate content is republishing similar or the same information on multiple pages of a website or publishing the same content on multiple domains.

Not all webmasters are aware that search engines view each URL as a different page, even it has the same content or is different from the other URL by ending with a slash or if it preceeded by a www or not.
