If concerns about duplicate content have got you up at night, Google wants you to return to bed and get some sleep.  The search giant (re)addressed the issue this morning, and the average honest webmaster has little to worry about.

First impressions are important, and as people, we prove ourselves with handshakes and “hello”s.  In Google’s search results, websites are represented by a paragraph or so of information, and the company’s own Matt Cutts recently took a few minutes to discuss these snippets.

Chris Liddell, who serves as Microsoft’s chief financial officer, has defended the idea of spending $240 million on a 1.6 percent stake in Facebook.  His comments aren’t likely to reverse critics’ stances, however.

Facebook’s a formidable entry in the social networking field - we all know this.  But the company’s announcement that it is also doing well in people search (indeed, in Facebook’s own words, it is the “[m]ost used people search engine on the web”) came as a surprise to many.
