An interesting NYT article on how Google (and others) are forcing newspapers to change their approach to writing news headlines.

In the "technical" world of search engine marketing, we often get so tied up in optimizing our pages, getting our databases crawled, determining what's happening with Google's latest update, and building our link popularity that we think in much too linear a fashion.

In my last article, "The Reality of Buying Wholesale," we looked at some of the controls that the largest companies in the consumer goods market place on their distribution channels. As we learned, some of these companies make it impossible for the small, start-up online retailer to obtain their merchandise.

Time is the great equalizer. Everybody has the exact same number of hours in each day. For most people, the hours available are usually less than the hours needed to get everything done. However, by using the following principles of creativity, you should be able get more done in less time, while making certain that you are doing what's most important and moving yourself closer to your goals.

If you knew you could be as creative as you wished, whenever you wished, what could you achieve? Surprise --- you can be as creative as you want to be. Creativity is a state of consciousness. And here's the best part --- you can access this creative state anytime.

It's not enough to be creative, you have to be creative at something.

Want a fast way to get creative? Stop thinking! Most of what we call "thinking" is simply labeling. We're repeating old tapes in our head. This type of thinking is not creative, and there's no way to access our true creativity from this mindset.

Can you make a living as a writer, artist, designer or other creative soul? Yes, you can, if you learn a few tricks.
