1-800 Contacts In Keyword Legal Battle Again
1-800-Contacts is suing again. They filed suit against LensWorld.com this past Tuesday, Jan. 8th. Competitor LensWorld.com bid on the keyword “1800Contacts” so when someone types it into the search engine, a LensWorld ad would show. Nothing new here (this is a routine practice in many industries, with both sides participating).

On Friday, I wondered what happened to a favorite LinkedIn feature for viewing recent users. I received two subsequent emails from customer service, only to find out I was wrong about the feature because of LinkedIn's questionable grammar. According the National Association of Realtors(R) ("NAR") surveys completed between 1999 and 2003, 66 percent of all home buyers stick with the first real estate agent they contact. The number one reason stated was that buyers perceive all real estate agents to be the same. This means that two out of every three contacts that you receive when you are the first contact, you are most likely to get the business.

Plaxo Contacts To Feature Yahoo Search
Contact management software creator Plaxo has announced that their newest version of their Contacts software, 2.0, will feature Yahoo Search capabilities. The software integrates with Microsoft Outlook and Outlook Express. Yahoo Search will be the first search utility to be featured in a Microsoft email client. Plaxo Contacts 2.0 is due out in May 2004.
