Google Announces Cities In 3D Program

It may be necessary to stop using words like "neat" and "cool"; it's possibly time to put on a tie.  A new push involving Google Earth stresses all the practical (and somewhat implausible) reasons cities should create 3D models of themselves.

Street View is one of Google’s most popular programs, and it just got a lot more inclusive.  Users can now take a virtual stroll through Chicago, Pittsburgh, Portland, Philadelphia, Phoenix, and Tucson, which brings the total number of Street View cities up to 15.

A Tale of Two Cities: Red Hat and JBoss

Red Hat reported great numbers today. The stock was down in after hours trading, and I suspect it will be down tomorrow. The stock movement will likely be based on comments about the JBoss division by Red Hat’s CEO. Forbes reports:
