YouTube Partner Program Spreads To Spain, Brazil

Those credit card commercials aren’t lying; the best things in life tend not to connect directly to money.  Something that gives out cash can qualify as “darn good,” though, and people in Spain and Brazil should be happy to hear that the YouTube Partner Program has spread to their countries.

Now as ever, would-be partners will need to complete an application in order to become involved; YouTube has established unknown standards relating to video views and subscribers.  Then, those content creators that make the cut will get to share in the advertising revenue that their clips generate.  (Again, exact numbers are a secret.)

A post on the official YouTube Blog makes clear, at least, “With the addition of Spain and Brazil, we bring the tally of countries in the Partner Program to ten.  By expanding this program internationally, we hope to showcase the immense talent and diversity of our global community, and compensate creators for the essential role they play on our site.”

And we expect that the Partner Program might make another leap soon.  It arrived in Germany and France about 35 days ago, making a two-countries-per-month schedule look plausible.

Who knows?  Maybe Google and YouTube will even show a little spirit by launching the program in Italy or China.
