Yahoo Shows Up Late To The Party

What better way to celebrate your birthday? Attend a trade show! Well, at least it was in NYC. 10-year-old Yahoo! announced at…

Running Late Was Yahoo Late To The Blog Party?
Search Engine Strategies that it will focus more on blogs.

Web logging will be part of Yahoo’s focus on personalized media. The company already is offering blog-publishing services in Japan and Korea, Yang said. While he didn’t say whether Yahoo! would provide similar services in the U.S. market, he did say that Yahoo! will tie blogging into more of its services in the next few months.

It is hard to imagine Yahoo! is only 10 years old. I remember a colleague telling another co-worker to go to “www dot yahoo dot com” and our co-worker doing the “RKO Dog.” The RKO Dog is when someone cocks their head to one side as if to say, huh?

When I read the coverage of Yang’s keynote, I was doing just that.
