Why I Absolutely Hate Writing Sales Letters

Rather, I hate calling the stuff I write “sales letters” because it’s so much more than that. In a recent article I wrote, I mentioned that Internet sales letters should actually be called webpages more than anything else.

Which means that if you’re trying to sell something on the Internet, it is only logical that you make use of this form of technology as much as possible!

Use the full range of formatting available to you on your HTML editor. Use highlights, bold, italics and underline to bring out what you have to say. More importantly, since you now have a totally unlimited canvas space to let your ideas flow freely, go forth and create something that is pleasing and compelling for your readers.

Remember that you are not just writing a letter.

A letter can only be read, it is neither interactive nor clickable. But a website can. A website is dynamic and can be tailored to suit your needs.

Use this simple technology of “clicking” or hyper linking to make references and allow readers to back up their buying decisions even more.

But most importantly, make sure they do not get distracted from your main message. All links should open in a new and smaller sized window, with a reminder to go back and read your main letter.

Try it out today. Write your sales letter by fully unleashing the powers of technology. It will be more hard-hitting than you can imagine.
