Walla Launches Free 1 Gig Email Service

Walla!Mail Unveils 1GB Free Email Service, Challenging Competitors

Walla! Communications introduces Walla!Mail. This new free email service boasts 1 gigabyte of storage, becoming the second operational email service to offer this storage magnitude. Notably, Spymac led the charge.

While Gmail is still navigating its beta phase and remains invite-only, Google’s Gmail has undeniably kick-started the trend toward increased email storage.

Enhanced Features and Attachment Capacity

Walla!Mail is not just about storage. They’re stepping up their game with a plethora of features to woo potential users. Standing out among competitors, Walla!Mail offers a staggering 30MB attachment size for mail exchanged within its service. In contrast, mailing to external services permits a 10MB attachment.

Ilan Israeli, the CEO of Walla! Communications, remarked, “Walla!Mail is designed to be the go-to email service. We’ve not only provided generous storage but also upgraded almost every feature, setting a new standard for top-tier email services.”

Advertisement Options and Pricing

Free Walla!Mail accounts will feature advertisements. Yet, users desiring an ad-free experience can opt for a premium version, available at just $14.99 annually.

Embracing Global Communication

Walla!Mail’s distinct feature allows users to communicate seamlessly in major global languages, for both sending and receiving emails. Erez Philosoph, Deputy CEO of Walla! Communications and the brain behind Walla!Mail, emphasized the platform’s international approach, stating, “Our users can correspond in any language, ensuring Walla!Mail offers a truly global experience.”

Clarification on Advertisements

A correction to note: Walla publicist clarified that Walla!Mail chooses advertisements for display based on user-provided information at account registration. This includes demographic and geographic data. The company has confirmed they will not incorporate contextual ads.
