uBid.com Delivers Unique Super Bowl Ad

How far would you be willing to go to score two 50-yard line tickets to the Super Bowl this year? For one Chicago Bears fan the answer is apparently pretty far. Jennifer Gordon is offering the space on her nearly nine month pregnant belly to be used for advertising in exchange for two tickets to the big game.

Online auction company uBid.com will display their logo on Gordon’s belly throughout the day on Sunday, during and after the game. Gordon posted her unusual ad space proposal on the Internet last week. She received around 200 email inquires but settled on ubid.com partly because its based in Chicago.

“UBid.com seemed like the most logical choice because No. 1, its local company, and No. 2, it seeks nontraditional ways to advertise”, said Gordon, a public relations manager.

“uBid is all about innovative and creative ideas and we applaud the spirit in which the advertising space became available,” said Robert Tomlinson, CEO of uBid. “We are proud to ‘give birth’ so to speak to this fun opportunity and see it as a way to expand our brand recognition via a non-traditional manner.”

Tomlinson contacted Gordon after seeing her on TV and reading in the newspaper about her “My Body for Your Super Bowl Tickets” proposal.

UBid is also hosting a “Bear Belly Baby Pool” where fans can enter and win prizes for guessing the date, time and weight of “Baby Gordon” following the Super Bowl. Gordon will also have a blog that will share her Super Bowl experiences.

“I am thrilled and proud to select a Chicago-based company for the sponsor opportunity and am grateful to uBid.com for making my Super Bowl dreams a reality,” says Gordon.
