Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia announced that Suzanne Sobel has resigned as Publisher and Executive Vice President of the Company.
MSO will initiate a search for a replacement immediately. In the interim, Lauren Stanich, President of Publishing, will oversee advertising sales efforts.
“Suzanne has made enormous contributions to MSO and we are grateful to her for the role she has played in the growth of the company,” said President and CEO Susan Lyne. “Suzanne brought incredible passion and energy to MSO’s unique cross-platform marketing programs as well as to the launch of several new titles. We will miss her and wish her enormous success in the future.”
MSO’s magazine portfolio, which includes flagship Martha Stewart Living, Everyday Food and recently acquired Body & Soul, appeals to a broad audience of consumers who are passionate about all aspects of living. The company recently reported strong positive circulation trends and reader renewal and satisfaction rates for both Martha Stewart Living and Everyday Food magazines.
Ms. Sobel stated: “Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia is an incredible company, and I have learned a great deal and have enjoyed working with its talented employees over the years. I take great pride in our many accomplishments — from developing unique multimedia opportunities for marketers to expanding the Martha Stewart Living franchise to launching new magazines such as Everyday Food. Most importantly, I am proud of what we have been able to sustain over the past two-and-a-half years and feel that it is now time for me to seek out new challenges. MSO has a brilliant future and I wish everyone much success.”
