Pee Wee Herman, the alternate identity of actor Paul Reubens, made famous in the 80s from a couple of TV shows and movies (namely Pee Wee’s Big Adventure, Tim Burton’s greatest acheivement in my opinion), is back. You probably know the story. He was busted for exposing himself in a theater and Pee Wee Herman pretty much fell off the face of the planet, although Reubens has popped up from time to time.
But I reiterate. He’s back. He’s got a new show on the way (live), and has kicked off his return with an appearance on the Jay Leno Show, and of course…a Twitter account. Now Pee Wee can express himself anyway he wants to via the ever-growing social network – the one that appears to be a celebrity magnet.
He appeared on Twitter last night under a verified account, and promised a phone call for someone that retweeted his return. Mashable points to a video taken by none other than blogger Guy Kawasaki of Pee Wee’s first tweet:
