Lexmark threw out two new inkjet all-in-one printers into the ballgame today. The #2 printer company announced the new P4350 and the X3350 as well as a new line of photo papers.

The big point of these printers is affordability in the ever-broadening price wars for the home printer market. Some of the features include:

For the P4350:

Printing from digital cameras via PictBridge and camera cards
Photo editing features, even without a PC, including cropping and resizing
Color LCD screen for previews of photos and copies
4-inch x 6-inch borderless photos printed as fast as 38 seconds***
Illuminated scan guides to assure proper placement of originals on the flatbed scanner

With print speeds of up to 22 pages per minute (ppm) in black and up to 15 ppm in color, the X3350 is one of the fastest AIOs in its class. Additionally, no other competitive model exceeds its 48-bit color scan depth.:

Pricing on these printers remains affordable. The P4350 runs for $129 and the X3350 runs for $79 after a $20 mail in rebate.

These offerings come on the heels of the lowered first quarter earning report. Stocks fell short of the project $1.02 per share projections. The second quarter projections aim for $1.11 a share.
