MySpace has launched a contest for one couple to win the wedding “of their dreams” in its new reality web series, “Married on MySpace.”

Video submission will be accepted on the Married on MySpace profile page through April 17. Finalists will be announced on April 24 when MySpace users will be able to vote for their favorite couple. The series will debut on MySpace in May with the announcement of the winning couple and end in early August with the wedding ceremony.

MySpace users will be able to influence the details of the wedding by voting on two key elements each week leading up to the event.

The MySpace community will vote on what wedding attire the couple will wear, where they will have their bachelor and bachelorette parties and at what location the wedding will take place.

The series will consist of 13 webisodes and the MySpace Video channel will feature profiles of the wedding party, behind the scenes video footage and blogs from the winning couple about planning the wedding.

Wedding Web site the Knot will offer their team of wedding and style experts to help guide the couple through the process. The Knot is also offering an application called “My Inner Bride,” that allows MySpace user to create their own bride avatars.
