More Xbox 360 Games Announced

Activision, Take-Two, Bizarre, and Microsoft’s Rare will have games joining a quintet from EA on the shelves when the 360 arrives.

While the California legislature has been busy passing a redundant law banning the sale of violent video games to minors, already a practice in place with the video game industry, several game companies announced titles that would be on sale when the Xbox 360 debuts in November.

Reuters reported on the various companies and titles scheduled. Take-Two, the home of infamous Grand Theft Auto developer Rockstar, will have The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion on sale, along with pro sports titles NBA 2K6 and NHL 2K6, the Top Spin 2 tennis title, and extreme snowboarding game Amped 3.

Activision plans to have Quake 4, WW2 sim Call of Duty 2, the music-drenched Tony Hawk’s American Wasteland, and the highly anticipated Western-themed titled simply called Gun. Bizarre Creations should have Project Gotham Racing 3 available.

Microsoft now owns Rare, and the debut of Perfect Dark Zero from Rare should be a big seller. Kameo: Elements Of Power was the other Rare title Microsoft said would be released.

EA’s first Xbox 360 titles were announced earlier in the week in Amsterdam, and The Godfather won’t be one of them as it is still pushed back to 2006. Titles from the Madden and Tiger Woods franchises will accompany three other EA titles in November.
