Interland Completes New Channel Distribution Agreement with Dex Media

Interland today announced it completed a new channel distribution agreement with Dex Media. Under the channel agreement, Dex will sell a private-labeled version of Interland’s small business Website design and hosting services as part of a new product line called Dex Web Clicks.

Designed as a turn-key solution for small and medium-sized businesses, Dex Web Clicks provides web site design and hosting as well as search engine marketing capabilities, including a guaranteed number of clicks. Dex is launching the product in Seattle, one of the company’s largest markets, where its sales force will introduce it to small business advertisers.

“Earlier this year Interland announced it would focus on selling its website design services and online products through indirect channel arrangements, and our new partnership with Dex Media is a major step in that direction,” said Joel Kocher, Interland’s chairman and CEO. “We are thrilled that Dex, one of the premier Yellow Pages publishers in the country, chose Interland to help provide Website design and online services to its customers.”

“Dex believes that it can better serve its advertisers by helping them establish or improve their online presence and results, extending the reach of their advertising message. We have a seasoned sales force which can effectively communication the benefits of Dex Web Clicks,” said Simon Greenman, vice president of Internet Products for Dex Media. “As the leading provider of Web hosting and online services for small and medium-sized companies, Interland was a logical choice for us.”

As the exclusive publisher of the official White and Yellow Pages directories for Qwest Communications International Inc., Dex publishes 259 directories and sells directory advertising and online advertising services through its 1,000 plus direct sales force representatives to more than 400,000 customers in the 14-states where Qwest is the primary incumbent local exchange carrier, including Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Iowa, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.

“For most small business owners, developing an effective website is a daunting task. The technology can be confusing and expensive. Without Internet expertise, many business owners either pay too much or bypass the benefits of getting online,” said Kocher. “Interland’s website design services are affordable and help small business owners get an effective website quickly without any need to learn computer programming. At the same time, Interland’s website building software is so flexible that it allows the business owner to quickly and easily make changes to their website directly or through Interland’s design studio personnel.”
