How Do I Motivate My Downline?

For You life is great. You appeared on the Internet and found your perfect, profitable business opportunity. Your business opportunity offers valuable, tangible, in demand products. The company is a reputable company and has a spotless record with the Better Business Bureau. You have an effective, proven marketing system in place so recruiting new distributors is no problem for you. You have managed to make a full time income from your opportunity. There are just a few problems. How do you motivate your downline?

Even though you have no problems recruiting, you have difficulty getting your recruits to share your vision. You recruit new members and email them off a welcome message filled with encouragement. You wait and wait and wait but you get no response. In fact most of your recruits do absolutely nothing. You have noticed that your commission checks are starting to diminish. What are the magical words that you could use to motivate your downline?

My friend you are approaching marketing in a difficult angle. Your time is the most valuable asset that you have. Do you find yourself consistently wasting your time training unqualified prospects? You see with the multitudes of business opportunities appearing daily on the internet, there are numerous choices for your recruits to make. Because the internet is the “Land of Opportunity,” many of your recruits may become program jumpers in search of the perfect program. Many of your recruits may fall prey to the multitudes of “Get Rich Quick” schemes. Some may follow some prelaunch programs. Some may get caught up in illegal pyramid schemes, ponzi schemes, gifting, or chain letters. As their sponsor, what do you do to bring your recruits back to reality? How do you motivate your downline to share your vision, commitment, and dedication to your business opportunity?

You have to come to the understanding that most of your recruits will do nothing to help build your business. You will have embrace the 80/20 rule. Twenty percent of all your recruits will recruit eighty percent of your entire network.

What do you do to find the twenty percent that will help build your network? You need to recruit and sort. You need to look for leaders. What you will do is only offer your time and expertise to those who qualify to be your leaders. You need to test your recruits and only spend time with your recruits who pass your test. You may test your recruits by offering them training materials, books, tapes, ebooks, or even offer them a recruiting tutorial.

Infact what I do is use my welcome message as my testing tool. What I do is offer them a free recruiting tutorial in the welcome message and consider those who accept my offer my leaders.
