Grab ALL the Targeted Search Terms and Customers!

If you want your site to do well in the search engines, you should probably consider dissecting your all – around useful sites and make them more focused. You can keep the all – around site but point the focused ones toward it for the “extras” you offer. The all-around site can easily serve as your “home” page.

For example – if you have an all-around PET site that offers everything from live pets to food to vet care to toys to training, etc., then make a one page site for each choice. One page for pet foods, one for training, one for vet care, etc. Make links to link out to either each of the other pages or to the all-around page.

If you focus on these smaller purpose sites, people will be more targeted when searching for terms and find your site. If you only have an all-around site, it might get diluted in purpose in the search engines, by offering too much and not being as focused. The all – around site is good to submit, anyway, because it can pick up some obscure search choices that might be missed in the other pages.

In other words – you should offer both types of sites and submit them all to the search engines. Try to capture as much of the targeted search market as you can.
