Google has partnered with SpotMixer to launch a self-service video ad creation solution within the Google TV Ads platform. This is a very cool concept that should be huge for small businesses with tight advertising budgets. Basically, you create a ready-for-television commercial all on your own.

These could potentially make for generic looking ads, but the beauty is that they allow you to upload your own content including images, video, and audio. It even lets you record your voice directly from there. Plus, the solution dynamically changes templates and content to ensure that each video is different anyway.
Once your commercial is ready, you can set up a TV campaign from your AdWords account. The platform can even take your existing AdWords text ads and convert them to tailored video ads.
The service has been available in limited beta to a select few since September, and has received positive response. “Businesses that previously could not access national television advertising are now able to place their ads on TV with lower risk, and they are seeing strong results,” says SpotMixer. Customers can track their TV ads just like they would with other online ad campaigns.
