About two months ago, Google announced a new “Tasks” feature in Gmail Labs. the feature provides a window in Gmail similar to that of chat and lets you add tasks by simply clicking in the empty area and starting to type.
Now they are offering a mobile version of the feature for iPhones and Android devices. It is also accessible by any xhtml enabled phone.

“If you already use the version of Tasks in Gmail Labs, you’ll see the same task list that’s always in sync,” says Tasks Engineer Michael Bolin. “We focused on making it super easy and fast to update your Gmail task list — you can add new tasks and check off completed ones, no matter where you are (like in a meeting or at the grocery store).”
Add a Tasks Bookmark to your homescreen by:
1. Go to gmail.com/tasks
2. Click the + Button and Select “Add to Homescreen”
3. Click add one more time and there you have it.
It’s not quite as easy as writing something on a piece of paper, but Bolin examines the strengths and weaknesses of that here. Tasks for mobile ought to be pretty handy either way. Google also launched a Tasks gadget for iGoogle.
