The new game by Microsoft “Gears of War” has now sold 1 million copies in 2 weeks according to the company. The game, which is played on, the Xbox 360 has been in high demand.
The customer reviews for the game on Amazon have been positive. One reviewer of the game wrote, ” This game definitely lived up to all the hype. The graphics are amazing and the online play is incredibly addictive. Not for younger children though, this game is extremely bloody and could scare some children.”
One negative comment from a reviewer said “THE GAME IS TOO SHORT!
I bought it 2 days ago, and I beat it yesterday. I mean its nice n all, but I finished it in almost 5 hours.”
“Gears of War” comes just one year after the Xbox 360 launch. The price is 20 percent higher than “Halo 2” when it was launched.
Microsoft has also seen an increase in its Xbox Live online gaming service because of “Gears of War” Since the games launch. The paid registration per day has jumped 50 percent on the online gaming service since the games inception.
With the holiday season officially here the numbers are likely to increase.
