Building on its reputation as a leader in enterprise personalization, Exstream Software rounded out 2004 with award-winning accomplishments and its most significant growth to date.

In addition to being ranked #180 of America’s 500 fastest growing private companies by Inc. magazine, Exstream grew revenue 50 percent over 2003 and expanded the number of enterprises using its software to over 300. Additionally, the company continued its global expansion by adding an office in the United Kingdom and forging new business partnerships in Asia, Africa and Latin America.

This dramatic growth signifies the increasing need for businesses to deliver fully personalized, mission-critical customer communications across the enterprise and through multiple channels. Exstream offers the broadest, most flexible range of industry solutions available to accomplish this-making time to market up to 60 percent faster, reducing costs by as much as 80 percent and tripling productivity. Primary industry users benefiting from Exstream’s solutions include financial services, insurance, banking, telecommunications, service providers and utilities.

“As a company, we are very proud of all our achievements in 2004. We continue to attribute our success to superior product offerings coupled with an unwavering dedication to customer care that has become the company-wide culture,” said Davis Marksbury, president and CEO of Exstream. “As we enter a new year, we remain committed to our mission to provide the most innovative technology and responsive delivery of enterprise personalization solutions that will lead each of our customers to continued success.”

Many new companies adopted Exstream’s Dialogue enterprise personalization solution in North America, including such well-respected enterprises as MBNA, Principal Financial Group and Baltimore Gas & Electric. These companies are using Exstream’s solutions as an integral part of their enterprise infrastructure for creating personalized business documents, Web self-service, agent interaction and customized marketing campaigns. International adoption accelerated in 2004 based on the direct sales offices created in 2003. Marquee customers included La Poste, France’s national postal service, and TelMex, Mexico’s government-owned telephone carrier.

Additionally, Exstream furthered its business partner program in 2004 both internationally and in key industries the company serves. In the Asian market, Exstream partnered with Kanematsu Electronics in Tokyo, Japan, a leading provider of information technology solutions to the mail order, insurance, security, credit card and utility industries. In South Africa, Exstream aligned itself with Blue Turtle Technologies, a proven leader in document output and management serving the banking, financial services, insurance and other key markets. To grow its presence with small to medium-size insurance firms, Exstream partnered with Decision Research of Hawaii and Nebraska-based MSI Systems Integrators. With Exstream’s full line of document personalization software, each new partner is equipped to offer customers more effective tools for communicating through print mail, real time and interactive channels.

Exstream also enhanced its product development and release strategy this past year with the introduction of its customer Managed Release Program. Under this program, major product releases are divided into multiple, cumulative minor releases that are made available to customers in the program after they have been fully tested and documented. This allows customers to take advantage of new enhancements without waiting for the general availability of major new releases.
