I need help…
#1 I sell beads on ebay. not a huge biz. but I like it &
I now have a website at: http://www.gemsofthesouthwest.com
Over the past 3 yrs. I have saved emails from customers in a folder (3506 pieces of email) & I’d LOVE to find some sort of software that can “harvest” the email addys, eliminate duplicates, & allow me to send out a little newsletter.
Now here’s the kicker, I am on a Mac running OS 9…
PLEASE HELP… Lynnea
Hello Lynnea,
I found Power Email Extracter — the link is below. It should get the emails addys out for you. You can set up a page for subscribing to your newsletter on your site after you decide which method to send them out, and they are:
Using your machine or a online service to handle the load of outgoing emails. If you’re on a dial up, or cable modem connection I would suggest using an online service instead of a program on your Mac.
Dial up is very slow and could be extremely time consuming to get just a few hundred emails and even less out. Cable modems are faster than DSL but have more restrictions depending on the provider, hosting websites and having an email server are just a couple of examples of things that would make a cable company unhappy with you.
As far as sending newsletters we have clients that offer such services online so all you have to do is create the newsletter and have them send it out to your subscriber list.
Below is a link to BeMailer a classic Mac os program for bulk email as well. I found these programs on versiontracker, a really good site for software of various kinds.
