Don’t Make This Serious Advertising Mistake

The worst possible mistake some people can (and will) make during the next few weeks will be to cut back on their advertising campaigns, thinking this is not the time. Here’s a sample of some of what they are going to be erroneously thinking.

Everyone’s tapped out after spending for gifts. Nobody’s going to be using their computers during the Holidays. People are going to be too busy visiting and planning for New Year’s and won’t pay much attention to the Internet. People will get angry with you if you have the nerve to ask them to spend any money right after the Big Holiday.

This is Wrong thinking and to cut back on your advertising is a very bad move. Let me explain why.

While many WILL be tapped out after spending (and, yes, in some cases, overspending), many others will (1) receive money as gifts, (2) be in a position to really now need a way to make money, (3) computers are a very popular gift, (4) people who are discovering the new world of Ecommerce are going to be anxious to see what all is out there and (5) anyone who is serious about their Ebusiness isn’t about to get lazy and let competition swoop in and take potential customers away. That is NOT what they’ve worked so hard for.

There’s no question that watching everybody open their gifts and squeal with delight is going to put a big smile on a lot of faces. Give them a few hours. Their next thoughts will be centered on “Now how do I pay for all those bills?”.

Companies are laying off, or downsizing, their employees in record numbers. Christmas Bonuses as we have known in the past are pretty much just that – past. Even for those unaffected by such events, this creates an outstanding opportunity for you to make terrific inroads to increase your downlines, customers, etc.

You give people a chance to think about those bills that will be pouring in and then show them a way to take the sting out of those thoughts and you’re a winner.

We all know full well the excitement of venturing into cyberspace and seeing the myriad of money-making or service opportunities. Can you imagine what all those first-time computer users are going to experience? Think about when you first joined up. Then think about the THOUSANDS of Newbies coming aboard.

Those who will receive monetary gifts will be anxious to spend it. I think it’s just plain in the blood. Some will be looking for new products or services they might have always wanted to try and now can, some will be looking toward the New Year seriously considering alternative lifestyles and business/career possibilities, still others will be actively looking for ways to make their computer experience easier, more fun, more exciting – and more gainful..

People well-versed with doing business on the Internet already know this. They will step up their advertising. There are just too many “potentials” to be ignoring. Their attitude will be “Let the others relax” – and they’ll be thinking right, too. At least from their vantage point it’s to their benefit that you ‘give in’ to the ideas that this is bad timing. Chances are they’ve already got their ad campaigns mapped out, or are in the process of doing so.

Rather than NOT being too busy to get on all those computers out there, people will use the time they have off work to log on and see what’s out there to explore and take advantage of..

This is the time to make sure your ad campaigns are ready. Don’t make the mistake that the money-making Season is over. It isn’t, not by a long shot, especially if you play your cards right!

I’m not suggesting that it might not be a harder sell. It would be foolish for me to say that people will not be cautious as they take a look around. But that is just the point. They WILL be looking around. You need to make sure you are appealing to them with strong, compelling ads. Start getting your ad campaigns scheduled now and be there when those fingers start doing the walking.
