“You could make 1 million dollars in the next 30 seconds”! Or “Quit Your Day job and become the internets next millionaire”. If you have surfed the internet for any length of time you have undoubtedly come across a few websites with the sales copy mentioned above. The fact of the matter is the world wide web is filled with “get rich quick” claims.
Do you buy into the hype? Each day half a million people world wide surf the internet for the first time. Many of whom are looking for a viable home-based business they can start for little or no money. These are the people that are most effected by sales copy that sell hype! Webmasters and online business owners have become very good at using psychology to get people interested in their product or service.
Sales copy that use key words and phrases to elicit a response from the reader is all to common on the internet. Most of these claims of internet riches are totally false and misleading but everyday someone buys the product or service hoping they too will become the next internet millionaire!
Claims of making fast money, or testimonials of people that are telling you how they work 5 minutes a day and deposit huge checks into there bank account each day may have some ring of truth to them, but more than likely these are the claims of the online business owner that you are reading.
The old saying of “if it is to good to be true, it probably is” should be adhered to when looking at home-based business offers on the world wide web.
People are making very good money on the internet with home-based businesses. However, most of these people have worked very hard and continue to work very hard to insure that they will be in business for some years to come. Those business owners that are looking to make a quick buck usually don’t last to long.
No matter what type of business you choose to get involved in, do your homework, ask plenty of questions, talk to people that may have experience with the business you are interested in. You can usually find these people on business forums. On the internet it is always “Buyer Beware”. Good Luck.
