Delicious Polishes Its Network Badge

The new network badge from Delicious arrived as the social bookmarking company continues to integrate its services with new owner Yahoo. Delicious has maintained its minimalist design and its popularity…

Delicious Polishes Its Network Badge Do You Have Your Del.icio.us Network Badge?
…even as Josh Schachter’s company was devoured by Yahoo in one of the portal’s many social media acquisitions of recent memory. Much of their work has been behind the scenes, making Delicious code play nicely with Yahoo properties like MyWeb.

They have a new Network Badge for Delicious users. It feeds into the Delicious network, as described online:

Your network connects you to other del.icio.us users – friends, family, even new people you run across while exploring del.icio.us.

When you save new bookmarks, you can share them with people in your network simply by clicking on a username. That user (or users) will then receive the sent bookmark and be able to view it by clicking on “links for you” at the top of the page.

“Your fans” is your reverse network – a list of people who have added you to their network.
The new network badge makes it easy for a blogger or site publisher to enable others to add that user to a network:

These details can include your user name on del.icio.us with a link to your bookmarks, how many people you have in your network, how many fans you have, as well as a link others can use to easily add you to their own del.icio.us networks.
Here’s how my network badge would look on a site:
