My name is Randy Justason and I have been involved in the online marketing business for only a short while, therefore you may view the following review in light of that.
My initial reaction to the subj website was a good one due to the speed of loading of the pages when I visited each link from the home page. Things kind of went down hill from there.
First of all, on the home page I really expected all of the words in blue and red to be links, and I believe they should be. One reason is that the customer may want to see only one kind of product listed there and another is that Search Engine Spiders like lots of links to pages within the site.
The Directory Page – what is its use?
The Products Page – Loads fast with lots of links – but the first thing that struck me was the color of the links – not the best color! I would like to see thumbnails of pictures of the products on this page.
The shipping details page – not enough details. Do they ship internationally? How?
I believe, if I were doing this site, I would include lots of links on the home page to things like high demand products, specials, about, etc, including a link to the email address.
I would combine the Directory and Products page into one Product Directory and have the major sections listed with links to those sections (example – Home and Office Decor). On each section page I would have a list of each of the products in that section with a thumbnail picture as a link to that product page. And finally, on that product page I would have an image and a longer description of the product along with the order link.
The overall site color scheme is OK to look at so I wouldn’t concern myself with it at this time. I would more concern myself about content and navigation for both my customers and search engine placement.
