Apple To Ship Tiger On April 29

Apple’s new version of their OS X operating system, called Tiger, is preparing to hit the market, and it appears it will do so running at full speed. Boasting over 200 new features, including one of the more robust desktop search applications, Tiger seems to be in a position to become one of, if not the, best operating system available to computer users.

The shipping information indicates current purchases will be shipped and received by April 29, which is the official Tiger launch date. Also, shipping is for the new version of OS X is free.

To celebrate the upcoming launch, Apple CEO Steve Jobs offers these thoughts, “Mac OS X Tiger is the most innovative and secure desktop operating system ever created. Tiger’s groundbreaking new features like Spotlight and Dashboard will change the way people use their computers, and drive our competitors nuts trying to copy them.”

When an upgraded operating system becomes available, it usually comes with a number of new features. Tiger will be no different. Spotlight

Dashboard
