Apple Is On A Roll

The press is in love with Apple Computer again. Take a look at some interesting excerpts from the media below.

” The small Apple Mini (more stress on Mini) is making a big impact in he computer world nowadays. The Mac Mini is seen as the cheapest way to fulfill ones dream of having a Macintosh machine on the desktop.

Apple computers are known for their beautiful designs and robust operating systems. They were a lot expensive than PCs from Microsoft till now when Apple broke the price barrier with its Mac Mini.”

“But the truth is that for many buyers the software that comes with the Mac mini will be a significant benefit because it makes the mini more functional than similarly configured (hardware-wise) Windows PCs. Not only that, but in the long run it may make the Mac mini less expensive — the more good software a computer includes out of the box, the less money you’ll have to spend later to get the software you need.”

“Apple “Computer” grossed and netted more iMoolah in the fourth quarter than ever — an iProfit of $295 million. Don’t thank the computer section — the marketers of high-priced, high-end iPod music players did it. Apple sold 4.6 million of them, and just 456,000 of the biggest selling computer, the iMac G5.

CEO Sim Wong Hoo of Singapore’s Creative Technology said the shuffle is a joke, “a four-year-old product” and a non-starter. Sim was crushed when someone suggested he was spinning the news because Creative is Apple’s biggest music player iCompetitor.”

“We’re living, right now, in Apple’s world, a time and place in which the normal rules of commerce no longer seem to apply to the once much-beaten-down firm. Contrary to all expectations, the company has seen a string of huge hits in the past few years. The iPod is bigger than Jesus.

Apple is literally selling these things faster than it can make them.

Now, for the first time in almost two decades, there’s a good — great — feeling attached to the Apple brand, a haze of optimism that is unlike the sensation we feel for all but the most cherished of consumer tech brands. (There’s Google, there’s TiVo, and there’s Apple: Can you think of any other company that has recently changed your life as you know it?)”

“One thing’s certain though: Apple seems determined to ride the current wave of consumer exuberance. The Mac mini, given its comparatively low prices and good looks, is positioned to entice PC users who might be persuaded to switch over to Macs.”
