What is One Thing you Definitely Need to do Business Online?

Share

There is ONE thing that every Internet marketer needs to have in order to do business online.

Do you know what it is?

No, it’s not having a sales letter, a website or even a payments processor.

It’s about having proper support channels…

I can’t emphasize enough the need to provide means of support for your customers. When they have bought something from you, you need to provide them with a channel by which they can get direct help, and find out more about your other products.

That’s why I advise even the smallest firms, and those with only 1 – 2 people running the show to have their own helpline or support email address at the bare minimum.

Most people base their future buying decisions on their current experiences, so you need to go all out to make sure that their experience and images they have is a pleasant one.

When I first started selling software products I knew there was no way I could pit myself against the corporate “giants”.

That was when I figured out I could turn the tables by providing personalized support that was never before heard or seen in the industry.

I set up an email address (because I had no means of providing phone support) starting with support@MyCompany.com and promised to provide a prompt reply within 24 hours.

I created what was known as a “Quality Assurance Policy” to assure buyers that my products would always be of that high quality, and they could ask for a refund whenever they wanted.

Lastly I offered free updates for life, for as long as they remained a customer.

In other words I took the same kind of services everyone was offering, added a twist and made the user experience an extremely pleasant one.

The ploy worked and I distributed over 3000 copies of the software. So good, in fact that I had to discontinue it…

So remember – If there is something in your business that you can provide more of, go ahead and turn it into something your customers will remember.

It’s not always the hard facts and advantages that they are looking for, but also the “good feelings” they get as a customer when they buy.

Feed their desires. What can you do today to make your customers happy and feel like a “million dollars”?
