Everdream Corporation announced today that Valassis Communications has signed on Everdream to protect, manage and support its IT infrastructure. Under the terms of the agreement, Everdream will provide complete asset management, software distribution and patch management services to 1,000 users spanning over 20 Valassis locations throughout North America.
Valassis has a complex IT infrastructure that includes a variety of desktop PC platforms spread across its corporate network. They needed the capability to understand the hardware and software status of each PC, identify security and performance vulnerabilities, and keep these assets updated without having to visit each machine. Everdream’s managed services solution allowed them to extend the capabilities of their internal IT resources and gave them the control they needed without having to install new software infrastructure or hire and train new people.

Using the Everdream Control Center, a web-based IT management console, the Valassis IT team is now able to conduct critical desktop management operations from one single interface. The Asset Management service allows IT managers to maintain a precise hardware and software inventory for PC and mobile systems across the organization without the need for data entry. Everdream’s patented Software Distribution service enables the rapid packaging and secure deployment of any application to any online user at any time — automatically. In addition, the Everdream Patch Management service can automatically identify, distribute and install necessary software patches while allowing administrators to track status and determine which systems are protected and which require attention.
