Internet Telephones Are Aiding Consultants

Adopting new technology can be challenging for any company. Small and mid-size business owners in particular often do not have the resources or support to move ahead with new business tools. This hesitancy, unfortunately, often puts them at a competitive disadvantage or holds them back from fully realizing their dreams of success.

The George S. May International Company, the leading management consulting firm serving small to mid-size businesses, is helping clients overcome these barriers to success by combining its recommended business improvements with the latest telecommunications technology – Internet telephones – as part of its World-Class Client Care service.

“Through our new World-Class Client Care department, clients not only receive expert follow-up assistance after the on-site portion of a consulting project, but they also are provided a free Fidelio Internet telephone and service to better facilitate communications about the business improvements,” said Israel Kushnir, president of May International.

Fidelio uses Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), which sends phone calls over the Internet. The system allows businesses to realize substantial cost savings compared to traditional telephone service.

“An important reason clients choose our services is our commitment to help implement our recommended improvements at their businesses,” said Kushnir. “While we are very effective at analyzing situations and developing programs to meet client needs, implementation is the key to continuing success. The Fidelio Internet telephone service is a critical resource in carrying out these changes.”

The same Fidelio features that allow May International to better communicate with staff and clients also benefit the consulting firm’s clients in their own specific operations.

“The most attention-getting aspect of Fidelio Internet telephones is the economic benefit,” Kushnir explained. “However, once a client sees the features of the system, the benefits to business operations become much more important than the basic cost savings.”

One example of how Fidelio moves beyond simple cost savings to a true business improvement tool is its capability for collaborating and training. Through the desktop sharing capability, individuals at different locations can view the same document or presentation while discussing it on their Fidelio telephones. Remote users can make changes to the displayed document originating from another computer.

Other Fidelio benefits include one-click dialing, speaker phone, world-wide access, easily accessible call reports, unlimited conference call participation and unlimited free calls within network. Fidelio phones also are an easy add-on to existing PABX systems.

Fidelio telephone service was developed by Telvita LLC of Hollywood, Fla., a leader in VoIP local and long distance telephony specifically designed to provide affordable, reliable, and easy-to-use VoIP telephone service to small and medium businesses.

With a simple handset and base plugged into the USB port of an Internet-connected personal computer or laptop, plus a software download, Fidelio Internet telephone service allows direct voice and data communications to another Fidelio virtually anywhere in the world. Fidelio telephones also can call outside the Fidelio network to any traditional telephone through the use of on-line telephone calling cards providing rates that average less than three cents per minute.

Fidelio Internet telephone service operates with a basic 28.8k modem as well as with broadband. A basic keypad with five programmed buttons makes the phones easy to use because the user’s phone book and all use instructions appear on the computer screen.

“Through our work with thousands of small and mid-size companies every year, we see varying levels of computer sophistication,” noted Michael Haber, the executive in charge of World-Class Client Care. “However, when business owners see the versatility and simplicity that Fidelio brings, technology phobias fade away quickly.”
