After your website is built, you should immediately study how to get targeted traffic to it. Marketing is the key which you should concentrate on to make your business a success. So how do you get targeted prospects to websites? Well wax your ears and rub your eyes, here’s how I do it:
1. Search Engines are a very effective way to market your website, but it’s also the hardest. Everyone uses search engines to find information. However it’s very difficult to achieve a top 10 ranking in a search engine. You should continuously find ways to improve your rankings. Your listings in the search engine costs nothing so go for it.
2. An easier approach using search engines is using Pay Per Clicks (PPC’s). You pay only when someone clicks your advertisement. This also gets you to the first page of the search engine results. Careful how much you’re willing to pay though. Competitive keywords are expensive.
3. The article you’re now reading is written by me, and is submitted to a lot of ezine publishers. Therefore, many people will get to read this article and my resource box. They will know who I am and the URL of my business website. I regularly write and submit articles.
Submitting your own articles to ezines is a very cheap way to market your products/services. Send an email to my autoresponder mailto:pwarticle@onlinemoneymachine.com to see the list of ezines I regularly submit my articles to. My promotion is mainly using this technique.
4. I purchase email leads where the leads have requested more information on making money online or about starting a home business. I then email them information on what they asked for, and encourage them to visit my website.

5. Prospects that have submitted to your newsletter or asked for more information via your website should be the most responsive. If you’ve built a good relationship with them by offering valuable information they will trust and buy from you.
6. I regularly post to forums related to making money online. At each of my postings there is a place to put my signature where I advertise my website and service.
There you have it. These are the 6 marketing techniques I use to market my business. I use all of them simultaneously.
Marketing success cannot happen overnight. Stick to the techniques and work at it aggressively. Test new marketing methods and if they work, add them to your arsenal.
One of the most important factors is to be aggressive. Never be shy in asking your prospects to buy. If they don’t buy when you email them, don’t give up. Keep on emailing them until they do. I don’t buy when I’m first contacted, and our visitors don’t usually either.
