Driven by YouTube, sites run by Google led the comScore Video Metrix rankings for March 2007.
If Joost and other video properties want to compete for viewers, they face the same uphill march through snow drifts that Google’s search and advertising competitors have to navigate.
comScore said Google’s sites topped its Video Metrix for the month of March, as the top US streaming video property.
Out of 57.4 million unique streaming video users and 1.2 billion video streams for Google Sites, YouTube was responsible for the vast majority of them (53.5 million uniques and 1.1 billion streams.)
