If you use Google Docs, you might be pleased to know that Google is now offering templates for forms. And to start off they’ve got 13 different ones to choose from.
If you are not familiar with templates in Google Docs, to utilize them, you go to New and select from template from the pull-down menu.
From there you are provided with template options for documents, presentations, spreadsheets, and now forms. When you select Forms, you are presented with the 13 styles to choose from, which include:
– Basic Employment Application
– RSVP Form for a Holiday Party or Event
– “Contact us” website form
– Online Petition
– Event Registration Form
– Volunteer Survey
– Event Feedback Survey
– Collecting Mailing Addresses
– Website Satisfaction and Feedback Survey
– Generic Product Satisfaction survey
– Running Log
– Nutrition/Food Diary
– Detailed Product Satisfaction Survey
For example, the website feedback survey template looks something like this:
“Don’t forget that you can either email the form to your respondents directly for them to fill out or embed your form into your website or blog to collect responses online,” notes Joelle Fornengo of Google Docs Operations.
Speaking of email, Gmail does feature a Google Docs gadget now courtesy of Gmail Labs, so emailing these forms right from your Gmail should be that much easier. I would expect a great deal more templates to be added in the future, certainly if enough are in demand.
