Google Continues Mobilizes Search Engine

The good ol’ boys over at Google have given Googlites something else to chew on. Google gave the mobile phone horde access to more content, specifically sites designed for cell phones.

The system is a great addition to their existing cell phone service. Internet browsing cell phone users already had access to the Google search engine. Now, when you use Google on the mobile, you have one more alternative besides web or photo, you can choose the Mobile Web feature. Keep in mind it’s still in beta so it might have few kinks but this is definitely a good feature.

This should open things up to more niche marketing for Google as this feature becomes more popular. As the mobile market quality increases, this will allow users even more versatility.

The key to this new development is the XHTML technology. The extensible hypertext markup language put pages in formats cell phones can work with. As this new technology proliferates, searching should be much easier for cell phone surfers. Google is making sure their Googlites are taken care of in this department.

On a side Google note, I took a hint from coworker David Utter and took a look at the preferences section of Google. I did see the Klingon and it was amusing. It covered a variety of languages and dialects from all continents but a few additonal ones showed up too. Seeing your browsing option in Pig Latin was pretty funny but Elmer Fudd took the cake. I recommend folks playing with them. You might learn a few things about some languages and have a little fun in the process.
